1 May 2021 . . . I was excited to take out a family from Tallahassee and their visiting relatives from Orlando. 4 adults and one kid. Before we departed the youngest said he would love to catch a mahi because that was his favorite fish. I told him it would be difficult today because mahi normally don’t come this way until the waters get warmer. Well, low and behold we brought in a beautiful mahi! We also caught a large red grouper, some gag groupers (too small to keep), vermillion, lane snapper, mangrove, triggerfish, rock bass, grunts, lots of red snapper (out of season) and a thrasher shark (released). Can’t wait for Snapper season to open on June 4th so we can bring home the limit in Snapper as well. An unforgettable day on the water!
